So, how about UC ships made up of two people who have never met in canon? Share your favorites and give your reasoning for why you think they would hit it off.

Rachel/Pete

1). They're both in love with Kitty, and I think I have a thing for shipping people who like the same person.

2). Pete is snarky, fun, and morally ambiguous. Rachel is rebellious, confused, and mentally unstable. Can you imagine the interaction? It'd be like Faith and Spike, back when Faith was still psychotic and Spike was still fun.

3). Endless potential for either angst or meaningless hot sex. It could go either way, and I would be behind it.

You really, really do. Because Rachel/Pete? Would be lots of fun. They could be all snarky over Kitty, and then realize that they just really want each other. It's my shiny, new UC het obsession.

Or maybe I'm just bitter that by the time I got Faith/Spike subtext, I didn't like Faith/Spike.

Have I mentioned how much I'm loving your Rachel icons? This one is my favorite.

*laughs* See, I'm just oh-so-OTPish with both Rachel/Kitty and Buffy/Faith (as should've been clear from that fic I showed you, I'm ob-sess-ive). Still want to meet Pete though, if he's as fun as everyone says.

Aw, thank you. I have to admit, I feel kind of good using my own art for icons for a change, rather than pictures I didn't draw or take.

I'm OTP-ish. It just doesn't stop me from shipping around. ;) I think of it like this: They'll end up with each other when it's all done, but meanwhile? They can have sex with other people. Because that's always fun. Especially when it's only in fanfic. I would probably have the biggest cow if some of the UC ships I support became canon.

Rachel is like Faith in that I could see her having sex with men, but I have trouble imagining her in love with a guy. So, yeah, I just want hot Pete/Rachel sex.

And Faith is just so very shippable. I even shipped her with Riley. And I realize the wrongness of it now.

Pete is fun regardless of who he is being shipped with. He is just so snarky. And he was mean to Meggan.

*nod* It makes some sense, but I tend to philosophize, "why settle for second best?" I get so involved in Teh One True Lurve, I often don't want to read about anything else.

Mmm, yeah, I can see her doing that. I really really cannot see Ray loving a guy, though (Franklin shmanklin). I was talking about Ray and future relationships on xfan, trying to come up with men I'd find acceptable, and I couldn't really think of one. The closest I came was Iceman, but ehhhh. -_-

MmmFaith. Ugh, ugh, ugh, Riley. Gak.

Mmmm . . . Mystique and Emma Frost. They're both sexy, intelligent, deadly, and ruthless. They'd fuck each other over (in more than one way). They wouldn't get emotionally attatched, and the whole thing would be incredibly hot.

Mystique and Emma Frost really haven't met in the comics? That's just crazy. They seem like the kind of people who would be in the evil thing together, behind the scenes.

I could definitely get on this ship. Have you been able to find fic with these two?
